Woolrich, the original outdoor clothing company and a brand long supportive of sportsman-based conservation, has officially joined the renaissance of National Hunting and Fishing Day. The company has offered a sponsorship package to help return the federally recognized holiday to its early glory.
“Woolrich is committed to helping ensure a future for the American traditions of hunting and angling,” said Tim Joseph of Woolrich. The movement to energize the 35th annual commemoration, set for Sept. 23, 2006, is being driven by Wonders of Wildlife, the National Fish and Wildlife Museum and Aquarium based in Springfield, Mo.
Partners include NSSF, which founded NHF Day, The Outdoor Channel, Bass Pro Shops, Realtree and Woolrich. More are expected to come on board.
