McCarthy and McHenry Conquer Harrisburg ASA

Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, June 2005 — Hoyt’s Dan McCarthy and Alicia McHenry know how to make a difficult course look less than challenging. McCarthy and McHenry won the Men’s and Women’s Open Pro divisions at the first-ever Harrisburg, Pennsylvania ASA shoot. Several long-distance targets set amidst the rugged, shadowy forests of Pennsylvania made this course a tough one.
McCarthy, whose score of 22-up on Sunday put him at first place going into the shoot down round, claimed that “it was a tough weekend, but everything just came together for me.” History would agree, as this is the third ASA shoot the nineteen-year-old Wisconsin native has won this year. And he is not alone.
Alicia McHenry also has three victories under her belt from the 2005 3-D tour. Aside from this weekend’s victory, she has titles from the Kinder ASA and Bedford IBO. McHenry expanded her seven-point lead going into the shoot down round to eleven to seal the deal.
Team Hoyt also made a splash in the Limited Pro division as Tom Blanton Jr. shot his way into the number two spot. McCarthy, McHenry, and Blanton all shoot Hoyt ProElite bows.
